Process Servers
in Arviat

We coordinate service of process and court filings into Arviat from Iqaluit and Winnipeg. Arviat sits on the western shore of Hudson Bay in the Kivalliq region, and like every Nunavut community outside the capital it is fly-in only — there are no roads to or from it. Our paralegals plan each Arviat assignment around the Nunavut Court of Justice circuit calendar and the Calm Air / Canadian North schedule from Rankin Inlet, so respondent contact and affidavit follow-up line up with flights that actually exist.

End-to-end file management

Files run through structured internal oversight from intake to completion, with quality checks at each step to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.

Global coverage, local execution

Vetted servers in Arviat backed by an international network. One accountable point of contact, jurisdiction-specific execution wherever the matter takes us.

Real-time status updates throughout the life of the file. Attempt logs, status changes, and completion confirmations come to you without being chased.

How We Work in Arviat

Arviat is the third-largest community in Nunavut after Iqaluit and Rankin Inlet, and Inuktitut is the principal language at home. We treat that as a service-design problem, not an afterthought — when a matter calls for an Inuktitut-language version of the document or an interpreter for explanation at the door, our paralegals arrange it before the agent flies in, rather than discovering it on arrival and burning a return trip. The Nunavut Court of Justice is Canada's only single-level trial court: one bench hears both what would elsewhere be Superior Court and Provincial Court work, and circuit court travels from Iqaluit on a rotating schedule. We track the Kivalliq circuit so filings, witness coordination, and service attempts cluster around the weeks the court is actually sitting in the region, instead of running every step as a separate fly-in.

Common Matters

  • Family and child-protection service coordinated with Kivalliq circuit court
  • Inuktitut-language document preparation and interpreter coordination
  • Remote personal service planned around Rankin Inlet / Winnipeg flight schedules
  • Affidavits of service drafted by paralegals for first-pass acceptance at the Iqaluit registry

Service Notes

Arviat is fly-in only via Rankin Inlet — there are no roads into the community, and same-day service is not realistic from southern Canada. Our agents work to scheduled Calm Air and Canadian North flights, and we route filings back through the Iqaluit Justice Centre. Where the volume justifies it, we coordinate attempts with circuit-court weeks so a single trip covers service, interpreter support, and any in-person filing.
