Legally-trained oversight
Every matter is handled by law students, paralegals, and lawyers — not call-centre dispatchers. The legal understanding and attention to detail that typical process servers do not offer.
ALBERTA · CANADA
Red Deer sits at Alberta's geographic centre between Calgary and Edmonton. We file Court of King's Bench and Alberta Court of Justice matters at the new Red Deer Justice Centre at 4810 48 Avenue, which opened in March 2025 and consolidated all Red Deer court services into a single twelve-courtroom facility. Service runs across the city, the industrial north end, and out into the central Alberta agricultural belt.

How We Work in Red Deer
Our paralegals prepare the King's Bench filing package and draft the affidavit before dispatch, so packages clear the counter on the first pass rather than bouncing back after the agent has already moved on to the next call. The Red Deer Justice Centre replaced the older Provincial Court and outlying traffic locations in March 2025, which means King's Bench civil, family, and Court of Justice criminal matters now sit under one roof on 48 Avenue — useful for files that span both courts. Red Deer's docket reflects central Alberta's mix: oil-and-gas service-sector litigation, feedlot and agricultural counterparty work, and a growing family-law volume tied to the residential population. Highway 2 traffic between Calgary and Edmonton brings the occasional commercial-vehicle and accident-related service file, and circuit work routes through Red Deer to Lacombe, Innisfail, Stettler, and Rocky Mountain House.

Service Notes
Counter hours at the Red Deer Justice Centre run 8:15 AM to 4:00 PM. Court of King's Bench civil documents route through the King's Bench Filing Digital Service at qb-filing.alberta.ca, and we use the portal for routine filings and the counter for rush matters. Highway 2 weather, including winter ground blizzards north and south of the city, factors into dispatch timing between Calgary and Edmonton, and rural runs through central Alberta are batched.
Procedure We Handle
We pick the applicable service rule under Part 11 of the Alberta Rules of Court before dispatch: Rule 11.5 for personal service on an individual, the alternative methods available without a court order in defined circumstances, or an application under Rule 11.28 when substitutional service needs a court order on supporting affidavit. Rules 11.25 and 11.26 cover service outside Alberta. The affidavit of service is sworn before a commissioner the same day and filed through the portal or at the Justice Centre counter.
Send us the documents and the details. We confirm jurisdictional requirements, pricing, and timelines before service begins.
