in Lethbridge

Lethbridge is our southern Alberta hub. We file Court of King's Bench and Alberta Court of Justice matters at the Lethbridge Courthouse at 320 4 Street South, and run service across the city, the University of Lethbridge campus, and the irrigation belt that defines the surrounding region. Same-day service inside the city is generally achievable when documents reach us by mid-morning.

Vetted servers in Lethbridge backed by an international network. One accountable point of contact, jurisdiction-specific execution wherever the matter takes us.

How We Work in Lethbridge

Our paralegals prepare the King's Bench filing package and draft the affidavit of service before dispatch, which keeps filings clearing the counter on first attempt rather than coming back for correction after the agent has finished a long rural run. The Lethbridge Courthouse hosts both the Court of King's Bench (civil and family) and the Alberta Court of Justice (criminal and small claims). Lethbridge's docket reflects southern Alberta's agricultural economy: water-rights and irrigation-district disputes, ranching and feedlot counterparty work, and a steady family-law practice. The University of Lethbridge adds student tenancy and academic-discipline matters. The surrounding region's Hutterite colonies bring service work that needs cultural awareness and advance contact with colony elders; we coordinate those approaches rather than arriving unannounced. Cross-border traffic at Sweetgrass-Coutts occasionally enters into commercial and family files.

Service Notes

Counter hours at the Lethbridge Courthouse run 8:15 AM to 4:00 PM. Court of King's Bench civil documents route through the King's Bench Filing Digital Service at qb-filing.alberta.ca for over a hundred document types; we use it for routine filings and walk rush matters to the counter. Hutterite-colony service is planned with advance coordination, and southern Alberta rural runs are batched for the same day where possible.

Procedure We Handle

We pick the applicable service rule under Part 11 of the Alberta Rules of Court before dispatch: Rule 11.5 for personal service on an individual, the alternative methods available without a court order, or an application under Rule 11.28 when substitutional service requires a court order on supporting affidavit. Rules 11.25 and 11.26 cover service outside Alberta, including the Montana side of cross-border files. The affidavit of service is sworn before a commissioner the same day and filed through the portal or at the courthouse counter.
